Pakistan Tunneling and Trenchless Society (PTTS) conducted the lecture at SCEE Hall, NUST Islamabad, Pakistan. The lecture focused on Recent Advances in Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Technology, highlighting innovations, challenges, and applications for sustainable underground infrastructure.

Prof. Dr. Jamal Rostami, Alacer Gold Chair at the Colorado School of Mines, USA, led the session. With over 27 years of experience in mining, tunneling, and underground construction, he has served as a consultant with leading A&E firms and is currently the Vice President of the International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA).

PTTS’s mission is lead and facilitate the provision of a platform for students and professionals to gain technical knowledge about tunnelling and underground space use, and to collaborate and exchange ideas with the giants of the tunnel industry across the world.
